May 2025
May 14th, 15th & 16th, 2025 - I went home after finals (which was the most stressful finals week I've ever had). At home, I went to this place called the Book Rescuers with Nejla, where they sell books, scrapbooking stuff, CDs, and more. We definitely need more third places where you can just hang out without having to buy anything or be kicked out.

The next day, Adrianna and I went to the beach in between Reddington and Indian Shores.

Nejla, Adrianna, and I decided to make a Not Bummer Summer 2025 poster to hype ourselves up for the Summer time. We added some cool activities to do this Summer such as going to the Ringling Museum, going to the beach every week, and karaoke.

May 19th - Kennedi and I have been trying to consistently play tennis every week. We're slowly getting better which is so satisfying to see each week. It's just so hot outside, even in the mornings. But that doesn't stop us!

And of course, Adrianna and I continued our Not Bummer Summer weekly beach trips in Tampa.
May 24th & 25th - I went over to Orlando to go see Ian's band's (The Shot) show with the gang. Them and the other bands that played were really good! The venue, Stardust, was really cool. Before the show, we hung out at Ian's apartment and also went to a record store near the venue.

The craziest part of that trip was having to go on a train back home to Tampa since Ian had a show in Jacksonville the next day, and Adrianna and Norris wanted to go see it, but Emzo and I couldn't. So, Emzo and I took th train back to Tampa. The train was actually pretty nice. The seats were way bigger than an airplane seat and the ride wasn't that expensive. It also didn't take too long.

But you know what, it was a fun trip. And it was my first time seeing The Shot perform live and my first time visiting Ian's apartment.
May 26th & 27th - Kennedi and I had our weekly tennis meeting, but we also hung out at her apartment's pool. I got through a good bit of Sunrise on the Reaping. It's pretty good so far. I've been reading it mostly at work.
The next day, I went to the beach with Madison. We barely get scheduled together at work, so this was our compensation. I ended up getting my first sunburn of the summer on my shoulders.

May 28th - Last Summer was rough for me. Between not knowing what to do with my time and just sulking in my room, I felt very trapped in my apartment. This Summer feels different. I don't mind being home, but I also have loved being outside with friends and just being by myself. I'm finally starting to fall in love with what I use to love doing. Although I am taking classes and working this Summer, I look forward to the rest of what this Summer has to offer.
